Following the completion of his General Psychiatry Residency at Yale New Haven Hospital, he completed two fellowships.

Diverse experience has allowed Dr. Bober to fine tune his abilities to successfully treat all types of patients. From 2007 to 2008, he served as a mental health policy fellow in the U.S. Senate through the American Psychiatric Association. The honor is only bestowed on one psychiatrist each year and is determined by a panel of established peers. Working with Congress allowed him to impact mental health policy, particularly for veterans and active duty service members. He has also previously served as the Medical Director of Pediatric Psychiatry at Joe Dimaggio Children's Hospital.
In addition to operating his own practice, Dr. Bober provides his services to several prestigious organizations. Currently, he is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Yale Child Study Center and Medical Director of Jewish Adoption and Foster Care Options (JAFCO). He is also Chief of the Department of Psychiatry at Memorial Regional Healthcare System, and an attending psychiatrist at Bellevue Hospital.
